Great news for everyone that has been following along on the progress of the Genesee Brewhouse in Rochester. Looks like the doors will open Sept 8th. Details from the D&C:
Genesee Brewing Co.’s new brewhouse overlooking Upper Falls will open Sept. 8, a company representative confirmed Tuesday.
The local brewery first announced plans for the brewhouse and visitors center last November, eying an opening in April. But the $2.6 million project called for razing 13 Cataract St., the most stately of several century-old buildings the brewery owned at the east end of the Pont de Rennes pedestrian bridge. A protracted debate and approval process followed. The brewery did not receive approval until April.
The new location off St. Paul Street will include a visitors center, museum, a tasting room and a microbrewery.
