Following Terry Hawbaker’s departure (here)….some more bad news from Philly.com about Farmer’s Cabinet:
On Wednesday, chef Steve Forte left the ambitious cocktail/beer bar, which opened less than a year ago at 1113 Walnut St. This follows this week's departures of general manager Nick Kulik, event coordinator Teresa Kulik, and front-of-house manager Jeffrey Boyle.
Forte simply said he and owners Matt Scheller and Matt and Colleen Swartz differed over the food. In an email, Teresa Kulik wrote that the parting was amicable: "We decided to take time off to travel and spend with family. ... We are pleased we got to be a part of an amazing concept and work with some of the most talented staff in Philadelphia. ... We wish the owners and staff continued success."
Chris Allen, chef at Farmers' Cabinet's nearby sibling The Boilermaker, will replace Forte.
