Brewery Vivant / New Belgium – Escoffier Bretta Ale

image

Here’s a new co-brew between Brewery Vivant and New Belgium Brewing called Escoffier Bretta Ale.  This beer celebrates the food of Auguste Escoffier and the enduring connection between food & beer.  Since this is the theme and meaning of Brewery Vivant (“one who enjoys good food & drink is said to be “Bon Vivant”).  This wild ale is 9.5% ABV and I expect it will be packaged in 16oz cans as is typical for Brewery Vivant.  This beer uses Brewery Vivant house yeast for primary fermentation, then New Belgium Brett yeast for secondary.  According to the label we should expect it to be dry with flavors of “horse blanket.”  Look for this beer to hit the normal distribution channels for both breweries except for the addition of the Chicago market for the release.
