In case you missed the news & label, click HERE for my original story on Weyerbacher Last Chance IPA. Great news today from Weyerbacher. Last Chance IPA will officially be released on 5/25. As a bonus 2012 Blasphemy will be released at the same time. From Weyerbacher:
Come down to the brewery Friday, May 25th between 4:30 and 8pm to get your absolute first shot at sampling Weyerbacher’s newest brew: Last Chance IPA is a 5.9% ABV West Coast-Style India Pale Ale using a combination of Centennial, Cascade, Simcoe and Columbus hops.
Weyerbacher Brewing Company donates a portion of the proceeds from the sale of every drop of Last Chance IPA to small, regional animal rescue operations. These shelters offer dogs, cats and other pets their last chance to find a new home. Have a glass, make a difference!
Last Chance IPA
This new IPA is the replacement for our beloved Hops Infusion IPA, born 6/18/1998 and retired officially at this event. Dress in black to mourn the passing of our old friend (veils optional though encouraged, tissues provided). We encourage you to bring a photograph showing you in your old Hops Infusion shirt or holding a bottle or glass of Hops Infusion and post it on the wall of memories which will be on display in the Visitors Center for all time!
As with all of our events, you will also be able to have standard-sized samples of the wide array of beers we presently have available. We’re even going to give you a larger sample of Last Chance IPA and a larger sample of Hops Infusion! We’ll also have all of our in-season beers available for sale in bottles, kegs and growlers. Note: Last Chance IPA 12oz bottles will not be made for a while yet.
BONUS! We will be releasing this year’s highly anticipated batch of Blasphemy, our Quad aged in used oak bourbon barrels and then bottle conditioned in a 25.4oz / 750ml bottle finished with a cork and a cage.
