The American Craft Beer Week celebration continues -- In celebration of our 5,000th brew of Liquid Aloha, our brewers crafted an Imperial IPA of epic proportions. 5K Imperial IPA will go on draught in the Kona Pub today!
Imperial IPAs are amplified with more malt and hops than traditional IPAs, resulting in a bolder beer, making this one-of-a-kind perfectly fitting for a milestone signaling the use of more than 6 million pounds of malt and more than a half million pounds of hops!
Experiencing KBC’s first Imperial IPA pleasantly overwhelms the senses; pungent notes of pine resin and tropical citrus come forward from “dry-hopping” with Cascade, Zeus, and Galaxy hops. 5K is balanced with a sweet caramel body and a clean hoppy flavor in the forefront; the malt sweetness carries through to a pleasant bitterness, promptly followed by a warming sensation from the high alcohol content.
