Listed on eBay is a bottle of 1852 Allsops Arctic Ale. If you’re not familiar with the story of Arctic Alchemy, this check out our radio show with Chris Bowen as he tells the story of the beer and his historic ride to the Canadian Arctic to brew it for himself. Today on eBay, the above bottle was listed for sale with a starting bid of $89K and a Buy It Now of $155K. As if that’s not interesting enough, the bottle is listed for sale from Bethlehem, PA by a seller named mrbowenz. The auction already has over 10,000 views and with just under 4 days to go, there are no bids. Based on what little I know, I’m reasonably sure I know the seller, but I will leave that to him should he want to release that info. In the mean time, I’ll be following along to see how it goes.
