A not-surprising “Yikes!” from MarketWatch:
Beer sales at U.S. convenience stores rose 1.3% to $16.7 billion last year, the Beer Institute said Tuesday. With nearly 17% of all of total sales of beer, convenience stores have the single largest share of off-premise sales, i.e. those occurring outside of bars and restaurants. Total sales of beer last year rose about 2% to a retail value of $98 billion, the trade group added.
