Anheuser-Busch To Import St. Pauli Girl Instead of Crown

News from BeerBusinessDaily:

It's funny, I noticed that St. Pauli Girl hardly got a mention at Crown's distributor convention last month. Perhaps this is why. In a memo to distributors obtained by BBD, it is revealed that A-B will become the importer for St. Pauli Girl brands, effective June 1. St. Pauli Girl is an AB InBev brand. In the memo, penned by Dave Almeida, he notes that St. Pauli Girl has long been brewed by Anheuser-Busch InBev in Europe. "We appreciate the brand-building stewardship and accomplishments that Crown Imports has delivered and look forward to leveraging those successes in the marketplace. Please look for communication from us in the coming weeks on transition possibilities for your business," writes Dave.
