Royal Unibrew Brewery Explosion in Denmark

image
In a translated story from faxe.nu, it looks like there was a fermentation tank explosion on Friday at the Royal Unibrew Brewery sending a tank into the air—landing on a Johnson Controls van.  Much like Saturday’s story on the tank explosion at Franconia Brewery on Saturday, and thankfully no one was injured in this one.

Friday the 17. February at about 14.30 exploded a tanker to a residual product from production at the Royal Unibrews brewery in fax. It is still unclear why it exploded.

Gærtanken smoke by the explosion 25 feet up in the air, and then it hit a building and landed on top of a van.

The car belongs to two craftsmen. They had just been in the car and lock it. Then they went up on the roof of a building beside it. From the roof, they could see the idea fly up in the air, frame building and Lands on their car.

No people have been injured. But there are ølgær everywhere. It sucked up with a suction.

The idea is that a valve to regulate if pressure is increasing for example due to fermentation – the valve has probably failed.
