Looks like Oskar Blues will be releasing some of their Deviant Dale’s at both brewpub locations for Fat Tuesday on 2/21 followed by the official release in the new 16oz cans on 2/24: Here are the full details:
Fat Tuesday (2/21/12) is just another part of Oskar Blues life. This year, our fourteenth Mardi Gras celebration, we have a whole lotta partyin’ going down at both Liquids & Solids in Longmont and Oskar Blues Grill & Brew in Lyons.
Like the Big Muddy running through Colorado, we’re bringing that southern creed with cochon de lait (whole roasted HOG), king cake, Hurricanes, jambalaya, gumbo, oysters on the half shell, BBQ, alligator and even some fun kids activities like balloon makers and face painting, and Colorado’s longest running “Shortest Mardi Gras Parade.” Oh, and I best not forget to mention the BEADS!
Both Lyons & Longmont will be pouring our 2011 GABF Silver Medal winning Deviant Dale’s IPA- set to be officially released in our first ever 16oz cans at the brewery during the Tasty Weasel Taproom’s 3 Year Anniversary Party on February 24th, and out in the market on March 1st. Abita Amber will also be pouring at the Fat Tuesday celebration at Home Made Liquids & Solids, alongside the other 40 beers on draft.
Jackamo will provide that foot-stompin’ Zydeco, “get up and dance” blues in Longmont while the Zydacoasters will be working that feel-good Louisiana party music at the Grill & Brew in Lyons.
As Coolio once said, in more or less words- there ain’t no party like an Oskar Blues party…
Festivities start at 5pm. Get here!
We’re celebrating big this Friday- the Tasty Weasel, the taproom that makes it possible for you to enjoy our beer on site at the brewery, amongst the canning & production lines, and sip on specialty beers- is turning three, and, as per usual, we want to party! This Friday, February 24th, from 4-10pm, we’re hostin’ a shindig, complete with a silent disco, BrewSkee Ball tournament, brewery tours, the Firkin Friday Double Dry-Hopped G’Knight, the Oskar Blues Bonewagon servin’ up tasty morsels of food, and DEVIANT DALE’S in 16OZ CANS for the first time! And, if you feel like hoppin’ on a bike, as we usually do, join the Bicycle Longmont Cruiser Ride to the party from Downtown Longmont. Best lit up bike wins a $25 gift certificate to the Tasty Weasel.
Come down and show us your dancin’ moves, brewskee-ball-rollin’ abilities, and love for Oskar Blues- see ya Friday!
