We’ve been holding off on some of the details coming in last last night...so Here we Go YorkHolo Brewing quietly opened on Monday (2/7) and is serving beer as we speak (brewing license to sell beer TODAY 2/9). Started by brewer Jarrod York and named after the Yorkholo Dairy farm owned by his family since 1861. Jarrod interned and worked full-time at Ithaca Brewing Co., before opening this new brewery in Mansfield PA (19 North main St). Jarrod will be holding his grand opening this weekend so be sure to stop by and say hello.
Here’s a peek at the brewpub & Jarrod in the brew house from their FB Page. Looks like Jarrod will be brewing “Bungy” Blonde Ale, Raspberry Wheat, Hefeweizen, “Dead River” American Amber, “Night & Day” Porter and “Coal Miner” Black IPA.
Besides a tasty brew (Night and Day is the local coffee shop-very delic. beer w/the hint of java)they have a chef! Portabelo mushroom burger is now my weekly craving. My buddy had a birthday and the chef came out with cheesecake w/ bananas foster around it- butter and carmel-Good Lord, how does one spell carmle? carmele? carmell? Does not matter, it was sooooo GOOD. Atmosphere is casual and open~esp. pleasant because kids can be present also, up to a certain time of night. We got a good one!
