“Always Instigating” is one of those official unofficial mottos at Surly. When there were meager craft beer offerings in Minnesota, we made our own. When the law said we sold too much beer to have a taproom, we successfully changed it and built a destination brewery. When our home state legalized THC, we jumped at the chance to create our Take Five and Double Take beverages.
Which brings us to Sense.
What is Sense? If it doesn’t look like a beer, that’s because it’s not. If it doesn’t look like a THC seltzer, it’s because it’s not that, either.
Sense is a new Surly product line that pairs cannabinoids and adaptogen mushrooms to maximize their potential benefits with precision intent. Our first two Sense selections land on shelves this month:
Go Forth is an orange blossom lemonade that sets your day up for success with a combination of elements crafted to support mental clarity, improved immunity, anxiety reduction, and energy support, combined with a low-level shot of Delta-9 THC for a chill high.
The active ingredients are:
- Cordyceps—Known to support energy and stamina, Cordyceps may also help boost immunity, reduce inflammation, and enhance exercise performance.
- Lion’s Mane—Animal-based studies have indicated that Lion’s Mane may help protect against dementia, reduce mild symptoms of anxiety and depression, and support mental clarity and focus.
- CBD (5mg)—May reduce anxiety, help ease chronic pain and inflammation, and reduce insomnia.
- CBG (5mg)—Has been known to reduce stress and anxiety and improve verbal memory.
- THC (3mg)
Go Easy helps you wind down your day with a selection of elements designed to support immunity, reduce anxiety and depression, and aid in sleep support with a blend of chamomile and raspberry flavor, plus 3mg of Delta-9 THC.
Active ingredients:
- Chaga—Due to high levels of antioxidants, Chaga mushrooms may enhance the body’s overall immunity, reduce inflammation, and support overall gut microbiome wellness.
- Reishi—Reishi mushrooms may help calm your nervous system, aid in sleep, and help alleviate anxiety and depression, in addition to boosting your body’s immune response.
- CBD (10mg), CBN (3mg), and THC (3mg)
While being from a whole other universe than an IPA or an imperial stout, Go Forth and Go Easy share the same sense of adventure and “eff it, let’s go for it” that led us to brew Furious, Mosh Pit Hazy, and Darkness. We can’t wait for you to try them.
You can find Go Forth and Go Easy wherever Surly is sold in 4-packs of 12-oz. cans. Look for further Sense options/flavors throughout 2025 and 2026.
