About Jester King:

Jester King Brewery is a highly regarded craft brewery located in Austin, Texas, known for its innovative, farmhouse-style beers. Founded in 2010 by Jeffrey Stuffings and Michael Stewart, the brewery focuses on using wild yeast and bacteria in its fermentation process, creating a unique, natural flavor profile in its beers. This approach aligns with their commitment to producing "wild and funky" beers, often blending traditional brewing techniques with experimental methods.

Jester King is also known for using locally sourced ingredients, including Texas-grown grains, fruits, and herbs, to highlight the terroir (the environment) in their beers. Their beers are often spontaneously fermented or made with mixed cultures, which means they allow wild yeast and bacteria from the environment to influence the final product.

One of their signature styles is farmhouse ales, particularly saisons and sours, but they produce a variety of other styles, including IPAs and stouts. The brewery’s facility is set on a beautiful, 165-acre ranch, providing a rustic and scenic backdrop for the brewery. Visitors to Jester King can enjoy the brewery’s tasting room and food offerings, with a focus on local, artisanal ingredients.

Jester King has gained a loyal following for their creativity and the distinctiveness of their beers, which have won numerous awards and recognition in the craft beer community. They are considered pioneers in the Texas craft beer scene and are often regarded as one of the top wild and sour beer producers in the United States.
