Reuben’s Brews Releasing Silk & Pearls Collaboration Variants

A CREATIVE COLLABORATION

Roughly two years ago now, our friends from Downtown Sprits in Seattle came to us with an idea. They wanted us to age one of our strong beers in two different whiskey barrels and then release them together as a fun way to compare subtle differences in character.

We loved the idea, and decided to finish a batch of barrel-aged barleywine in two different casks from their exclusive single barrel whiskey program: a Woodinville bourbon barrel and a Castle & Key rye barrel.

Try a glass of both Silk & Pearls variants side by side at either taproom this Saturday, December 21st and then grab bottles for home!

SETTING SAIL FOR SHELVES

Born to travel, and known for its robust character, the Foreign Export Stout style originated in the 19th century and has long been a part of our beer lineup.

In our recipe, seven types of malt combine to offer notes of espresso, bittersweet chocolate, and nutty toffee with a moderately dry finish. Find it at both taprooms

on Saturday, December 21st, and on shelves across the PNW soon after.
