HAWLEY, PA – For the third year in a row, Wallenpaupack Brewing Company has medaled at the World Beer Awards; claiming a Gold Medal and United States Country win for For the Love of Lager: Heller Bock and Silver Medal Hawley Hefeweizen— the flagship brand that also has two Gold Medals from both 2022 and 2023.
• For The Love of Lager: Heller Bock – One of the latest installments in the brewery’s series dedicated to exploring lager styles, Heller Bock took the Gold Medal and was named the Country Winner for the United States in the Seasonal: Maibock-Helles Bock / Lager category.
• Hawley Hefeweizen – Taking the Silver Medal in the Bavarian Style Hefeweiss / Wheat Beer category, this is the third year in a row that Hawley Hefeweizen has medaled at the World Beer Awards with Gold Medals from both 2022 and 2023.
“Our head brewer Logan Ackerley and his entire brewing team takes brewing lager styles and the perfection of our processes very seriously, so for our Heller Bock to perform so strongly is both incredibly meaningful while also being such a validation to their dedication of the craft,” said Wallenpaupack Brewing Company’s Director of Business Development, Brad Beneski. “And to see Hawley Hefeweizen continue to show up for this award by winning for the third consecutive year gives us some incredible storytelling opportunities for a beer that is considered a fan-favorite in our year-round lineup.”
The World Beer Awards is one of the most internationally recognized and respected beer competitions in the world, judging over 500 entries in 2024, the winners were announced over a two-day period of August 7th and 8th. In addition
to the World Beer Awards, Wallenpaupack Brewing Company also earned their first World Beer Cup in Las Vegas this past April for its Kroon Belgian Golden Strong Ale.
