There are over 9,000 craft breweries in the U.S., around 60 of those are Black-owned. Despite making up more than 13% of the population, Black-ownership accounts for less that 1% of breweries..
The 8 Trillion Initiative works towards advancing racial equity in craft beer by helping to pave a path for Black-owned craft breweries.
Through the 8 Trill Grant and 8 Trill Allies program the initiative helps to provide capital and resources to Black-owned brewing companies.
Beny & Teo’s mission is to make the craft beer industry an example of the economic impact of achieving racial equity.
