Tröegs Releases 2024 Nimble Giant Double IPA

The secret is out already, but here’s the official PR from Tröegs:

HERSHEY, PA – Tröegs Independent Brewing announces the release of its fan-favorite double IPA, Nimble Giant.

One of the independent brewery’s most-loved beers, this limited once-a-year release rivals its iconic holiday ale, Mad Elf, for the excitement it generates each year.

Nimble Giant started in Tröegs’ small-batch Scratch Series an experiment with Mosaic hops. After half a dozen test batches, the Tröegs brewing team hit upon a hop combination everyone loved – Mosaic, Simcoe and Azacca.

“We loved our earliest trials with Mosaic,” says Tröegs co-founding brother and
brewmaster John Trogner. “When we started dry-hopping with Mosaic and Simcoe together, we knew we were onto something. Fans would stop me on the street out in public and rave about the Scratch batches.”

In the end, Nimble Giant weighs in at 9% ABV and boasts notes of tropical fruit, pine sap, and honeysuckle. Supported by a backbone of pilsner and Vienna malts, this deep orange-hued double IPA is all about the balance between malt and hops.

Nimble Giant scores an ‘Outstanding’ on BeerAdvocate and consistently hits the top ten trending beers on Untappd upon its release.

Nimble Giant is available on draft and in 16-oz. cans across the brewery’s entire
distribution footprint.

Beer drinkers can find Nimble Giant and other Tröegs beers near them using the Tröegs Brew Finder.
