Mybeerbuzz .com Highlights Great Lakes Brewing Juicy Vibacious Double IPA & Midwest IPA (Review)

Back in Aug, I brought you an early peek at this upcoming beer from Great Lakes Brewing in Cleveland, OH…and ’ll also admit that back in March I think I started drooling a bit to get my hands on one.

Just a few weeks ago, Great Lakes made the official announcement and shortly thereafter in March, the beer was released. Of course we’re talking about the new Juicy Vibacious and I’m happy to say this new beer will not only be coming in 12oz cans, but it is also going to be available in 19.2oz cans.

Vibacious started life as Vibacious double IPA (one of GLBC’s most successful innovation stories to date—ranked as the No 7 overall new craft brand of 2023 per Circana data) and now we have the fruit-forward version that I can’t wait to try…..so off we go…

Great Lakes Brewing Juicy Vibacious DIPA

ABV:  9.5%
IBU:  40
Style:  Hazy Double IPA
Packaging:  12oz cans
Appearance:  Hazy and bright amber orange
Aroma:  Tropical fruit, citrus and lemon
Mouthfeel:   Medium bodied and satisfying
Taste:   Tropical fruit, citrus, lemon and mango
Overall:  Juicy Vibacious IPA is a really good citrus-forward hazy IPA with loads of tropical fruit on board. The beer is juicy with prominent lemon and orange making it really drinkable, satisfying, and enjoyable. The balance leans hoppy and really tropical and overall this has to be one of my favorite GLBC beers.

  Great Lakes Brewing Midwest IPA

ABV:  7%
IBU:  45
Style:  IPA
Packaging:  12oz cans
Appearance:  Deep golden
Aroma:  Citrus and grapefruit
Mouthfeel:   Medium
Taste:   Grapefruit, citrus and sweet orange
Overall: Midwest IPA is a really tasty mix of what I’d call a classic citrus-forward IPA and a bit of an NEIPA. The mix of citrus flavors is really enjoyable and overall I think Great Lakes has a really winner on their hands here.

Great Lakes Brewing Juicy Vibacious IPA and Midwest IPA are available now in 12oz canned 6-packs so get out there and try one for yourself.  Be sure to try these beers now….and when you do try it, be sure to let us know what YOU think.
