With the purchase of the brewing facility on N. Cook Street in Portland, Von Ebert Brewing will expand production and distribution from 4,000 barrels per year to as much as 20,000 barrels per year and will begin selling the award-winning Pils in 12-ounce cans.

“At Von Ebert Brewing, we’re expanding our production and distribution so we can sell more of our award-winning beer,” said Sam Pecoraro, brewmaster of Von Ebert Brewing. “For 2024, I’m excited to continue brewing what we do best through a strong series of rotating American IPAs, Italian Pilsners and seasonal Lagers. In addition to Pils, look for more 12-ounce packaging in the very near future!”

Von Ebert Brewing plans to have the N. Cook Street taproom opened to the public this spring and will grow its distribution throughout Oregon and Washington, and eventually Idaho and parts of California.

Von Ebert Brewing was founded in 2018 by Tom M. Cook and Tom S. Cook in Portland, Oregon. Von Ebert Brewing is named after the family matriarch lovingly refer to as “Grandma Ebert.” The quintessential immigrant story, Grandma Ebert came to America from Germany via Ellis Island and relied on her grit and determination to create a successful life for her family here in the states. In that vein, the brewery has displayed those same traits and gained success through numerous Great American Beer Festival medals: 2022 Silver German-Style Pilsner with Pils; 2021 Gold American-Style India Pale Ale with Volatile Substance; 2020 Bronze American-Style India Pale Ale with Nothing Noble; and 2020 Bronze and 2019 Gold Specialty Saison with Obeisance. Our moniker celebrates Grandma’s tenacity and honors our heritage. Von Ebert translates loosely to “House of Ebert” or in full English, “House of the Boar.”
