REHOBOTH, DE (FEB. 7, 2023) – Just in time for Valentine's Day, Dogfish Head has found its perfect match – or perhaps its "Other Half." Brooklyn-based Other Half Brewing is celebrating its 10th anniversary, and Dogfish Head Brewings & Eats is getting in on the fun by taking part in Other Half’s "Freaky Friday" tradition, with both breweries releasing an interpretation of the other’s beer. A take on Other Half’s classic Double Mosaic Daydream, Dogfish Head is releasing A Double Mosaic Daydream About Blueberry Cannibals (8.5% ABV), on Wednesday, Feb. 14, at the brewery’s Rehoboth Beach locations. Other Half has launched its very own version of Dogfish Head’s 60 Minute IPA (6% ABV), which is currently available at its taprooms nationwide.
Drawing inspiration from not only Other Half’s Daydream IPAs but also its fruited smoothie sour Cannibal beers, A Double Mosaic Daydream About Blueberry Cannibals is a hazy imperial IPA brewed with milk sugar, oats and a single hop variety, Mosaic, but with a Dogfish Head twist. It is infused with wild Maine blueberries, creating an incredibly smooth and dreamy flavor profile, complemented by notes of sweet berries, mango and tropical fruit.
“There are common ingredients between Other Half’s Daydream IPAs and its lineup Cannibal Beers, so with the inclusion of blueberries to our collaboration beer, we’re dipping our toes into the Cannibal space,” said Dogfish Head Brewing Manager, Bryan Selders. “Taking a cue from the Cannibal labels, we had further fun with the beer description on the label of this new brew, where we wrote, ‘It’s like Mosaic hops eating a blueberry, eating Mosaic hops.’”
A Double Mosaic Daydream About Blueberry Cannibals will be available exclusively on draft at Dogfish Head Brewings & Eats and Chesapeake & Maine, as well as in 4-packs to go at Dogfish Head’s Off-Centered EmPOURium. Priced at $20 per 4pk.
Other Half’s 60 Minute IPA is now available on draft and in cans to-go at any of its eight locations nationwide. In honor of the brewery’s remarkable 10-year journey, Other Half will also be pouring 25 new and previously released collaborations that it has crafted over the past decade at its All 10th Anniversary Everything Celebration, at its Brooklyn location on Saturday, Feb. 10.
