Soon, Dry January will be behind us and Denver's award-winning Hops & Pie has three phenomenal beer-related events coming up in February:
First to Tap Pliny the Younger in Colorado
Because of Hops & Pie’s relationship with the brewery and distributor, Hops & Pie has been the first beer bar in the state for many years to secure Pliny the Younger. The event is absolutely their biggest tapping of the year, and they’ll be tapping it on February 10 at 1 p.m. sharp!
Stout Month at Hops & Pie
No time is Vine Street Pub & Brewery’s absence more felt than in February, Stout Month. Hops & Pie is (hopefully temporarily) holding the torch for the Stout Month tradition as it’s such a beloved and important thing in the beer geek community. Throughout the month, Hops & Pie will have some of the nation’s best stouts on tap including: La Cumbre’s Malpais, Fremont’s Dark Star, Prairie Artisan Ales’s Bourbon Weekend, Telluride’s Ski-in-Ski-Stout, Weldwerk’s Oatmeal Stout, Amalgam’s Another Realm, Westbound’s Tennessee Special, and Casey Brewing and Blending’s Vanilla Bean Stout. The beers will be just $4 for Beer Club Members throughout the month.
They’ll also have a “Stout Month” cocktail, a Darker and Stormier with rum, lime, vanilla, molasses, ginger, topped with La Cumbre’s Malpais Stout.
Lost Abbey Brewing Company Founder Visits Hops & Pie
Founder Tomme Arthur of the heavy award-winning Lost Abbey Brewing Company (previous GABF Small Brewery of the Year, multi, multi gold medal winner at GABF) will be at Hops & Pie on February 16! Hops & Pie will also be having a Lost Abbey tap takeover featuring (subject to change): Every Everything IPA, Unseen Things IPA, Moral Codes Double IPA, JMJ Hazy IPA, Serpent Stout (aged in rum barrels), Cuvee de Tomme 2018, Angel Share 2015.
