I brought you a peek in Aug 2023, and now this from Ecliptic:
Portland, OR Earth. (October 12, 2023)- Next week, Ecliptic Brewing will celebrate its tenth anniversary, and a new beer release- Tenth Orbit: Rice IPA – will be released in its honor in both draft and 16-ounce cans. The beer ships October 18th, while the company’s anniversary party - which features rare beers, a costume contest, live music, and more- will take place on October 21st (see more details below). zzubreebym
Tenth Orbit: Rice IPA is brewed with Pale and Pilsner malts, as well as rice, which helps give the beer a light body. Simcoe, Citra, Cascade, and Amarillo hops add lots of hop character for this refreshing beer, clocking in at 7% ABV.
“In the 10 years since we opened, a lot has changed in the craft beer industry. For example, people have been looking for lighter offerings, as far as color goes,” says Ecliptic’s Owner and Brewmaster, John Harris. He continues, “Rice was only used in American Lager 10 years ago. The addition of this ingredient really lightens the body of the beer and lets the hops shine through. We are using a mixture of hops that were around 10 years ago, as well as some that have been released since 2013. Thanks to all of you that have supported Ecliptic the past 10 years; it means a lot to me!”
Tenth Orbit: Rice IPA will be released in 16-ounce cans and draft throughout Ecliptic Brewing’s distribution network on October 18th. The company will celebrate the beer release and its tenth anniversary with a party at their Mothership location on Saturday, October 21st. Visit Ecliptic’s event page for up-to-date details on this party.
