Anheuser-Busch Sells Virtue Cider Back To Original Owners

From Crains:

International beer conglomerate Anheuser-Busch InBev is selling Virtue Cider back to its original founder as the brewer restructures its craft beverage portfolio.

Former Goose Island Beer Co. brewmaster Greg Hall, who founded Virtue Cider in Ganges Township, near Fennville, in 2011 along with 30 other individual and corporate investors, will now become the sole owner of the cidery, according to filings with state regulators obtained by Crain’s Grand Rapids Business.

Hall confirmed the deal was in motion, but declined to comment for this report, noting the sale hadn’t been approved by the Michigan Liquor Control Commission. The MLCC website shows the agency is still investigating the license transfer request.
