Duvel Moortgat Acquires Brasserie du Mont Blanc

From GVA:

Brasserie du Mont Blanc has been around since 1999 - even though the name has been around since 1821 - and is located close to Mont Blanc. All beers are brewed with glacier water. In 2022, 110,000 hectoliters of specialty beer would be brewed, with 60 employees.

Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed. The current owner of Brasserie du Mont Blanc remains a shareholder.

Duvel Moortgat is best known as the brewer of Duvel, but also has brands such as Chouffe, Vedett and Liefmans in its portfolio. The company has breweries in Europe, the US and China. With the takeover of Brasserie du Mont Blanc, Duvel Moortgat now also has a brewery in France for the first time.
