Eight Oaks Wins Awards at International Competition

New Tripoli, PA  June 5, 2023–Last month, Eight Oaks was awarded multiple medals at the 2023 American Distilling Institute’s International Spirits Competition.

Those medals included:

  • A Gold Medal, for their Veterans Cut Bottled-in-Bond Bourbon Whiskey

  • Two Silver Medals, one each for their Pinot Noir Finished Bourbon and Port Rye Whiskey

  • Two Bronze Medals, one each for their Barrel-Aged Applejack and Bourbon Whiskey

According to Founder & CEO Chad Butters, medals aren't everything, "For me, it’s not about the medals—it’s about recognizing the hard work of our crew, especially seeing how much pride they put into their craft. We’re awfully proud of how we make our spirits.”

Butters continued, “This is the first year we entered Veterans Cut, and that is an amazing bourbon—we’re offering that year-round now, and I’d encourage any of our fans that haven’t tried it out yet to do so because our production team did an amazing job with it.”

According to Director of Distillery Operations and Head Distiller, Caitlin Fenstermacher, “It’s special to be recognized by ADI, and I’m proud of our crew for these awards. From start to finish, every bottle is fueled by dedication, hard work, and love for the craft.”
