New Belgium & Oud Beersel Team Up For the 20th Anniversary Of Transatlantique Kriek

New Belgium & Oud Beersel Team Up For the 20th Anniversary Of Transatlantique KriekIt’s hard to believe that this collaboration beer has been brewed for 20-years.

Coming to us from New Belgium Brewing in Fort Collins, CO & Asheville, NC, today we have one of the longest collaborations I can remember. This is Transatlantique Kriek and it will remain a blended collab with Oud Beersel that uses 50% of their traditional cherry Lambic and 50% of a NB Foeder-aged sour golden ale. The resulting blend will hit 5.2%-AbV and it will be packaged in these 375ml, 9L & 3L 20th Anniversary bottles. Stay tuned for release details.  zzubreebym

New Belgium & Oud Beersel Team Up For the 20th Anniversary Of Transatlantique KriekThis 26 Sept 2023 update from New Belgium:

Produced every year since 2003, Transatlantique Kriek is a literal transcontinental collaboration. It begins its life in the oaken vessels of Gert Christiaens’ Oud Beersel, a 130-year-old lambic brewery in the Zenne valley of Belgium. After the lambic ages there, it’s blended with tart Polish cherries and shipped across the Atlantic to New Belgium, where we blend in an equal portion of our oak-aged golden sour ale. After 20 years, Transatlantique Kriek remains a welcome invitation to reflect on our roots and appreciate the delicate complexity of the lambic, a centuries-old style that lies at the heart of our brewery.
