This event, which will be hosted at multiple breweries throughout Pennsylvania, will crown the best homebrewer in the state!
PENNSYLVANIA – Breweries in PA is excited to announce the second annual Pennsylvania Homebrew Invitational. The first year was such a great success that year two is expected to be even bigger! During the summer months of 2023, five homebrew competition events will be held at various breweries across Pennsylvania with the top three winners from each event going on to compete for the title of best homebrewer in the state!
Homebrewers from across the state can choose to sign up for any of the regional events with the top 15 from all of those events competing in a sixth and final competition. Each of the events will be held at the following locations on the following dates:
● July 8 th , 2023; Susquehanna Brewing – Pittston, PA
● July 22 nd , 2023; Necromancer Brewing – Pittsburgh, PA
● July 29 th , 2023; Von C Brewing – Norristown, PA
● August 5 th , 2023; Englewood Brewing – Hummelstown, PA
● August 19 th , 2023; Lavery Brewing – Erie, PA
● October 21 st , 2023; Floating Feathers Brewing – Mill Hall, PA
The top three winners from each region will then go on to compete at Floating Feathers Brewing (Mill Hall, PA) on Saturday, October 21s, to crown the best homebrewer in Pennsylvania.
But that’s not all. The overall winner of this competition will earn a $2,000 cash prize and have their winning recipe brewed commercially by Chatty Monks Brewing.
Homebrewers will be asked to bring one beer for official judging (by BJCP certified judges). Each of the six events will be held beerfest style, where guests can purchase tickets to enjoy the beer brewed by each homebrewer.
