Our Anniversary Party is BACK!
After an extremely long three year hiatus, we are ecstatic to announce that Double Mountain’s annual Anniversary Party returns on March 18th starting at 11:30am! We look forward to celebrating with you all in person again, and being able to thank you for all your support and love you’ve shown us, especially over the past few years. This Party will look similar to ones we have hosted in the past, complete with the closure of 4th street and the installation of a large 100 ft tent. zzubreebym
We are excited to announce that Never Come Down will be headlining the Anniversary Party, culminating with their amazing bluegrass music. They will be supported by a strong roster of local and touring acts including Glitterfox, Jujuba, Los Guys and opening with Muddy Souls (more information below).
Four bars, including the Pool Service Van, and the beloved Brewer’s Lounge, will be serving up over twenty five different Double Mountain beers and ciders. Souvenir mugs will be filled with half and full pours, creating a variety of drinking options. Additionally, pizza by-the-slice will be available for quick eats. $5 admission for adults until 5pm, and $10 after 5pm will include a souvenir mug. Kids are welcome with a parent/guardian until 8pm.
Get pumped, get amped, and get jazzed...we will be celebrating 4 years worth of anniversaries in one, so you know it’s going to be good!
The Muddy Souls are a leading progressive jamgrass band featuring original songs, virtuosic improvisation, tight vocal harmonies, and a high-octane groove that gets the dance floor bouncing.
LOS GUYS
Los Guys is a bar band of brothers that bring the party, playing rock and country classics with taste and talent. Additionally, the band features our very own lead brewer, Matt Coughlin-PARTY ON!
Jujuba delivers a funky, danceable style of Nigerian Afrobeat and Juju music. The strength of the 10-piece revolves around its energetic cohesion between percussion, rhythm and horn sections.
Portland, OR-based band, Glitterfox, has been making headlines and turning heads across Oregon. Since being named one of Portland’s “Best New Bands” in 2022 by the Willamette Week and coming away from OCF 2022 as one of the most talked about breakout acts, Glitterfox has worked relentlessly to electrify their live show while honing in on the inimitable vibe that is Glitterfox song craft.
Weaving together modern and traditional styles of bluegrass and americana, Never Come Down is a Portland, Oregon based 5-piece composed of Joe Suskind, Crystal Lariza, Brian Alley, Kaden Hurst, and Ben Ticknor. Their dedication to thoughtful songwriting and dynamic arrangements highlight polished technical skills and a commitment to listening to each other.
NEW BEER RELEASE!
From The Vault; Sweet Jane IPA
This year’s From the Vault Beer Series highlights a beer Double Mountain first made back in 2017, Sweet Jane IPA. Orange/red in color, aggressively balanced as West Coast IPA’s are, and all the fun pine and citrus aromas. For this encore, we revisit this classic with some modern techniques and tweaks, drawing on the additional expertise acquired by the brewers since they first made this beer.”
First off, we wanted to get some of that same color without the use of crystal malts. Enter Red X from Best Malz, a German malt that provides nice red and orange color without the caramel notes. This keeps it rounded and balanced, but without the perceived sweetness that can come from crystal malts, providing a good springboard for the hops.
We’re super excited to revisit this one, and had fun with the Spotify playlist again. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
From The Vault; Sweet Jane IPA
7% ABV 70 BU
This IPA is a nod to Lou Reed. It’s a straight up West Coast IPA; a tinge of color, balanced bitterness, and dewy citrus and sticky pine shouting out the verses. Here she comes, she’s gonna break your heart. Sing it with me now, “Sweet Jane!”
ICYMI (IN CASE YOU MISSED IT)
We have a low-intervention approach to cider making. We refrain from adding sugars or flavoring to our ciders, so you can savor the honest taste of fruit in every sip- just as nature intended!
Don't forget we have live music every Thursday at 6pm at our Woodstock location. We have Jack McMahon 3/9, Mick & Spud 3/16, Woodlander 3/23, and Cameron Ford 3/30.
Here is your friendly reminder to check out our Trivia night in Hood River on Wednesdays starting at 6:30. We only have two more weeks left so come enjoy it while you still can.
