WeldWerks Announces Jan 2023 Releases

From WeldWerks:

WeldWerks is excited to announce the first Medianoche (the brewery’s acclaimed barrel-aged stout program) releases of 2023. Tickets will go on sale Saturday, January 21st at 10 a.m. via Eventbrite (the ticket purchasing page will be viewable the second the sale begins on the 21st). Bottle pickup begins on Friday, Jan. 27 at 11 a.m. through Sunday, Feb. 19 at 11 a.m. Now let’s get to the releases!

Medianoche Antique: WLW

Medianoche Antique: WLW is the third entry in WeldWerks’ Medianoche Antique series, featuring some of the rarest and most sought-after casks that the brewery has ever procured. The barrels for this iteration were used to age William Larue Weller Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey for 12.5 years as part of the 2020 Buffalo Trace Antique Collection release. After resting Medianoche for nearly 24 months in these expressive WLW wheated bourbon casks, the resulting blend expresses notes of brown sugar brittle, cinnamon honey crème brûlée, chocolate cherry cordials, and a hint of sweet pipe tobacco. $26 per bottle.

Medianoche: Celestial Peanut Butter

Medianoche: Celestial Peanut Butter started as two casks of Imperial Stout aged for 21 months in freshly-emptied ten-year-old Forester Birthday Bourbon barrels. The blend was then aged for an additional six months in two freshly-emptied peanut butter whiskey barrels. After a combined 26 months of barrel-aging, this decadent doozy was finished on a blend of chopped peanuts and peanut flour. Salut! $28 per bottle.
