THE AKC’S FAMILY DOG MAGAZINE ANNOUNCES 44 th ANNUAL PHOTO CONTEST

New York, NY  – Calling all photographers! Think your dog has that star quality? The AKC’s Family Dog Magazine invites people to participate in the 44 th Annual AKC Publications Photo Contest.

The contest is open now through February 8 th , 2023. Family Dog Magazine asks participants to enter and follow this year’s theme, “Dogs in Action”. Entries are judged based solely on creativity, quality, and originality. Submissions received via post must be postmarked by February 1 st , 2023 and received no later than February 8 th , 2023. Entries can also be emailed to photocontest@akc.org. One entry each can be submitted for Color and Black & White categories.

“There are already so many amazing entries and we look forward to receiving many more,” said Mara Bovsun, Managing Editor of AKC Family Dog. “It’s always a joy to see how participants interpret each year’s theme.”


Winners of the Family Dog Photo Contest will receive cash prizes with a First Place prize of $500; Second Place of $250; and one Third Place prize of $150 and will be featured in a special section of Family Dog Magazine.
