On November 4 the WA Beer Awards announced all categories of winners for Gold, Silver and Bronze medals at the WA Craft Beer Summit. This year 121 Washington breweries received recognition in 77 styles. The blind tasting evaluated 1,400 beers and Chuckanut Brewery was awarded a gold medal for its Chuck Light Lager in the light lager category and a silver medal for its Vienna Lager in the Vienna Style Lager category.

Chuckanut’s Chuck Light Lager is a straw colored beer with only 103 calories per 12 oz pour. It recently won a Silver medal at the Great American Beer Festival 2022 in October. Easy to drink with more flavor than you would expect from a light beer, this lager is refreshing and crispy! Chuckanut’s Vienna Lager is no stranger to awards either. Known for its clean, copper colored toasty, malty character balanced with a subtle hop presence, it is an outstanding amber lager. This beer balances the sweetness of the malt with the bitterness of the hops. Great with roasted meats and vegetables you can’t go wrong pairing the Vienna Lager with any type of food. It’s food friendly! Both beers are on tap around Puget Sound and in Oregon. And sometimes they are available in cans at both Chuckanut locations!

Chuckanut Brewery brews award winning Lagers and Ales and has won Large Brewery of the Year at WA Beer Awards 2017, 2019 and 2021 and Small Brewery at the GABF 2011. The production facility and Tap Room is in Skagit Valley at 11937 Higgins Airport Way, Burlington, WA. Chuckanut Brewery’s P. Nut Beer Hall is at 920 SE Caruthers St, Portland.  Both locations welcome guests of all ages and have indoor and outdoor seating!
