New Belgium Sets The Record Straight On Voodoo Ranger Theme Park in Napa Valley

By now you may have caught wind of the interesting beer story coming out of Napa, Calif., over the past several weeks involving a proposed Voodoo Ranger IPA Action Park right in the heart of wine country. Indeed, this recently has been the focus of extensive press coverage, in the Napa Valley, the surrounding Bay Area, and even globally – appearing in outlets from the Napa Valley Register to the San Francisco Chronicle to The Times of London and many more stories totaling more than 1 billion media impressions. All the coverage asked a pretty weird question: “Is It Real – or Not?” zzubreebym

“It” refers to an outrageously fun, ridiculously over-the-top beer-focused orgy of IPA in the heart of one of the world’s most prestigious food and wine destinations. Residents reacted…shall we say strongly…even at the hint of possibility – organizing protests, lobbying expletives on social media, and essentially rejecting the idea of an inclusive family destination that doesn’t fit the Napa “culture.”
