POTTSVILLE, PA —June 15, 2022—D.G. Yuengling & Son, Inc., America’s Oldest Brewery, announced today, in anticipation of American Eagle Day on June 20th, that it will continue its partnership with the American Eagle Foundation (AEF), a leading nonprofit organization focused on the care and protection of the U.S. National Symbol, the Bald Eagle, with a $10,000 check donation.

“As America’s Oldest Brewery, we are proud to honor our history, dating back over 193 years, to when we were initially founded as the Eagle Brewery. The eagle represents American strength and freedom and has become a symbol of Yuengling’s quality and perseverance. We are committed to preserving this special bird for generations to come,” said Debbie Yuengling, Employee Engagement & Culture Manager and 6th generation family member, D.G. Yuengling & Son, Inc. “We are proud to extend our partnership with the American Eagle Foundation to grow their successful programs and make a sustained impact.”

Yuengling’s partnership will support AEF and help advance its mission of education, conservation, and rehabilitation for the Bald Eagle.

“For over 30 years and counting, the American Eagle Foundation has been fiercely dedicated to protecting the Bald Eagle through conservation, education and rehabilitation programs,” said Jessica Hall, Executive Director, American Eagle Foundation. “Our continued partnership with Yuengling will greatly help us advance our mission and expand our reach. We are happy to participate in such a natural partnership, as the Bald Eagle has played such a prominent role in Yuengling’s 193-year history.”

In 1829, the Yuengling Brewery, originally named the Eagle Brewery, debuted the iconic eagle on its label and it has remained a prominent part of brand imagery ever since.
