From Brewery Vivant:
On March 11, 12, and 13 Brewery Vivant will celebrate their flagship beer, Farm Hand, by offering food and beer features all weekend in anticipation of an additional version of the flagship year-round Farm Hand beer set to launch in June.
Eight Farm Hand variants will be on draft, four previously unreleased. The other four are the top picks out of eleven variants that have seen releases, one per week over the past few months.
Guests are invited to weigh in on the final four, as Vivant seeks to narrow the pick down to one that will go on to become a new Farm Hand beer, alongside the original, in the market. The other four, previously unreleased variants are unique and “weird” iterations of Farm Hand added just for the fun of it.
In addition to the eight draft variants is an old favorite, Verdun that has returned for a limited run plus a brand new beer, Spring Saison. Both will be available on tap and in cans. To complement the beer tasting, our scratch kitchen is preparing a special menu of farm-to-table fare, in the vein of the beer friendly, European countryside inspired cuisine that Vivant is known for.
Farm Hand Weekend is the culmination of the past few months of weekly Farm Hand variant draft releases. Eleven total Farm Hand variants have been tapped since December, giving the public an opportunity to weigh in with their opinions about each one. After listening to our guests’ feedback and discussion amongst ourselves, four variants have been elevated to the short list.
Farm Hand Weekend is the event where we announce those top four variants and offer them on draft in a beer flight. An additional four, unreleased and “weird” variants will also go on tap and be offered in a beer flight as well. Of the four previously released variants only one will become a brand new year-round Farm Hand beer that will launch in June of 2022.
Farm Hand is the first beer Vivant created and continues to be a top seller and the number one farmhouse ale in Michigan. This will be the first time in Vivant’s history where a new Farm Hand ale will be introduced as part of their perennial mainstay lineup.
