I’m a big fan of BrewDog. I’ve followed along with their irreverent and innovative approach to the beer business, and I applaud their efforts to give back to the broader community. Perhaps it was when I interviewed James Watt & Martin Dickie on the Friday BeerBuzz radio show, or perhaps it was just after enjoying a few BrewDog beers…but in any case, I should admit I’m a fan.
Just a few months ago I was able to sample six different Alcohol-Free beers from BrewDog and as I mentioned, they were all surprisingly good. Perhaps my expectations were different for a non-alcoholic beer, or perhaps I just really enjoyed them. In any case they were all really good and something you should definitely check out.
With that in mind, I was excited to get another chance to dip into their ever-expanding range of AF beers with the new Faux Fox. The beer is a non-alcoholic Berliner-style Weisse with raspberry, and if that’s not enough to get you excited, the beer also rocks in at just 29-calories and 4g carbs per 12oz serving.
So how is Faux Fox….let’s give it a try…
ABV: >0.5%
Style: NA Berliner-style Weisse
Packaging: 12oz cans
Appearance: Bright crimson pink
Aroma: Fresh berries
Mouthfeel: Sharp sour and mildly acidic
Taste: Tart with bold raspberry flavors with a lightly sour finish
Overall: Faux Fox has definitely become one of my favorite alcohol-free beers from BrewDog. It has the classic tart flavors of a Berliner Weisse with raspberry syrup and it is infinitely refreshing and drinkable. If you’re looking to cut back on calories and alcohol without giving up flavor and satisfaction, this is the perfect summer beer choice.
BrewDog Faux Fox is available now in 12oz cans so get out there and try it for yourself. And when you do try it, be sure to let us know what YOU think.
