Today I have your first peek at a new can coming from Prairie Artisan Ales in McAlester, OK. This is Spectrum and it will be a sour ale with hibiscus, chili peppers (one label does not include peppers) and cinnamon that will hit 5.3%-AbV. This benefit beer will be packaged in 12oz cans and stay tuned here for more details.

March Release
This month’s release is called SPECTRUM — we’ve brewed small batches (with slight changes) of this every year in collaboration with Special Care, a school in Oklahoma City whose mission is to nurture all children with and without special needs in safe, inclusive and supportive environments through education, therapeutic intervention and community acceptance.
They’re awesome. And a lot of the kiddos that attend Special Care are on the Autism spectrum — hence the name of the beer! Spectrum is a sour ale with hibiscus and cinnamon.
Our hope, is that we’ll have this beer into wide distribution by April 2nd — Autism Awareness Day — and that you can pick up a 4-pack of a beer that is one of our absolute favorites, flavor-wise, and will also directly benefit the kiddos at the school. A portion of the proceeds from this beer will be donated to Special Care!
