Firestone Walker Barrelworks Adding Beerjolais, Feral One & All Things Go

Firestone Walker Barrelworks Adding Beerjolais & All Things GoThis morning I have two exciting new bottles coming from Firestone Walker Barrelworks in Buellton, CA. Beerjolais will be a wild ale fermented with freshly-pressed red grape skins from Whitcraft Winery in French oak barrels (6.7%-AbV, 12.7oz bottles), Feral One American wild ale 2021 (750ml, 6.1%-AbV) and All Things Go will be a mixed fermentation wild ale with white grapes (from Curtis Vineyards) brewed in collaboration with Jester King Brewery. This beer uses foot-stomping, spontaneous fermentation (for 7-days) and blending grape juice with a fermented beer (French oak puncheons, 8.8%-AbV, 12.7oz bottles, updated to 9%-AbV below). Stay tuned here for release details.image

This 8 Apr 2021 update from Firestone Walker:

Feral One, Batch Eight

THE ORIGINAL WILD CHILD IS BACK

Experience the latest vintage of Feral One - our unruly ode to the classic Belgian Lambics from Barrelworks.

Feral One is a cuvée of specially selected lots, aged for up to five years in oak barrels and chosen for their pronounced similarities to the Belgian style. It's an eminently heady and complex wild ale, with funky, fruity flavors and a crisp tartness tempered by softness on the finish.

Available for sale online, shipping throughout California. 750ml bottles, 6.1% ABV.
