The Most Awarded Brewery In Washington State

From Rueben's Brews:

With two more medals at the 2020 GABF, Reuben’s tops 275 medals and remains the most awarded brewery in Washington State

Seattle, WA  (10/22/2020) – This historic year has been anything but normal. Daily lives have been turned upside down and nobody knows what to expect next. But at least there is still great beer to be had! The Great American Beer Festival (GABF) highlights the best beer in the nation and even in the midst of this crazy time they managed to pull off their 34th annual competition, and Reuben’s once again took home multiple awards.

During the GABF’s online announcement of the results last Friday, REUBEN’S CRUSH received a Silver medal in the highly competitive “Juicy or Hazy Strong Pale Ale” category, and FRESH HOP HAZEALICIOUS earned a Bronze medal in the prestigious “Fresh Hop Beer” category. Reuben’s was one of fewer than 30 breweries around the country to win multiple medals, and with this most recent haul Reuben’s has now amassed 275 medals for their brews in the 8 years since they opened their doors. That’s more than any other brewery in Washington State.

“We’re chuffed to be recognized this year in two really popular categories”, said Reuben’s Co-Founder Adam Robbings. “Our approach is about creating a wide breadth of beer styles that are always balanced and drinkable. And we’ve now won GABF medals in several different categories – from Hazy IPAs and West Coast IPAs to Stouts, Barleywines, and Sours. Awards aren’t the goal, of course, but the awards are nice because they tell us that we’re achieving our high standards and brewing products that will hopefully help people grow their love of beer.”

Reuben’s is proud to be part of the rich brewing community in the Pacific Northwest and congratulates all the excellent PNW breweries who were honored at this year’s GABF. 8,806 beers from 1,720 breweries in all 50 states were judged and Reuben’s home state of Washington came away with 16 total medals, the fourth most of any state.

To celebrate, this week Reuben’s is offering a breadth of their GABF medal winners on tap at their Taproom including GOSE (Gold in 2015 and 2016), NITRO DRY STOUT (Bronze in 2015), TRIUMVERATE IPA (Gold in 2017), THREE RYES MEN (Bronze in 2019), and two different REUBEN’S CRUSH Hazy IPAs (Silver this year). The entire team at Reuben’s invites you to join them for a pint or two at the Taproom and raise a glass to things you can count on, even in 2020.

About Reuben’s Brews

Adam and Grace Robbings opened Reuben’s Brews in 2012, after an award-winning homebrewing career, naming the brewery after their first child, Reuben. At their family brewery they brew from the glass backwards: designing each beer with intention, unbound by constraints. They know that making that extra effort is worth it. From their everyday favorite beers to innovative new releases, they help you grow your love of beer. Reuben’s Brews. Beer Unbound.
