Fat Head’s Hop Stalker Wet-Hopped IPA ReturnsFrom Fat Heads:

Seasonal Fave Will Be Available in Package for First Time Since 2017

MIDDLEBURG HEIGHTS, September 16, 2020 -- While it’s not news that Fat Head’s is releasing its wet-hopped Hop Stalker IPA in late September – that’s an annual tradition.  There is an exciting twist on the story this year: for the first time since 2017, Hop Stalker Fresh Hop IPA will be available for hop lovers to bring home to enjoy.  Instead of being draft-only as it was in 2018 and 2019, Hop Stalker will be available in 4-packs of 12-oz. cans through Fat Head’s gift shop, as well as craft-friendly grocery and beverage shops – starting September 18 at the brewery and September 28 at retailers statewide.

To obtain the ‘wet hops’ (freshly harvested hops, shipped refrigerated) for this popular brew, Fat Head’s partnered for the first time with Coleman Agriculture, a family-owned Oregon farm that aspires to be ‘the brewer’s best friend.’  Head Brewmaster Matt Cole can attest to that commitment as he is a dedicated fan of the care and attention Coleman focuses on each harvest as well as the superior quality of the hops they grow.

‘We received our hops faster and in better condition than I can ever remember,’ said Cole, ‘and I think Coleman’s Centennial hops this year are superb – they are going to make this edition of Hop Stalker maybe the best yet.  And that is saying something, as last year’s edition, was fortunate enough to be recognized with a silver medal at the Great American Beer Festival.’

Hop Stalker is known for its highly fragrant aroma complemented by a balance of dank citrus and piney hops. Tastes of grapefruit, lemon zest, pine, and grassy earthiness, and finishes with a nice amount of piney citrus rind bitterness. In addition to 4-packs at retail, Hop Stalker will be available on draft while supplies last at all Fat Head’s Brewery locations (Middleburg Heights, North Olmsted or Canton).
