Harpoon Adding South Of Satan’s Kingdom 2 The Return

Here we have a returning wet-hop collaboration coming from Harpoon Brewery in Boston, MA and Windsor, VT. This is South Of Satan’s Kingdom 2 The Return and it will be a wet hope pale ale. This is the 2nd year that Harpoon has worked with Four Star Farms in Northfield, MA (just south of Satan’s Kingdom) on this beer. The beer will roll in at 5.8%-AbV and you’re looking at the 16oz can. Stay tuned for release info. I’ve also added in Black Is Beautiful dry-hopped tropical stout (7%-AbV, 16oz cans).image

This 27 July 2020 update from Harpoon:

The Black is Beautiful initiative is a collaborative effort led by Weathered Souls Brewing in San Antonio, TX to bring awareness to – and raise funds to address – the injustices that many people of color face daily.

The mission of Black is Beautiful is to bridge the gap that’s been around for ages and provide a platform to show that the brewing community is an inclusive place for everyone of any color. Weathered Souls is asking for all breweries and brewers far and wide to raise a glass in unison and participate in this collaboration.

We are proud to be one of more than 1,000 breweries participating in brewing a rendition of the Black is Beautiful Imperial Stout recipe.

Available now on draft and in to-go crowlers at the Harpoon Beer Hall (and in 4-packs later this fall), this Tropical Stout showcases a wide range of different dark and black malt characteristics, with notes of espresso, milk chocolate, dried fruit, and molasses.

With whirlpool and dry-hop additions of Citra and Ekuanot, it opens with a bright nose of citrus and tropical fruit but finishes clean with just a touch of bitterness and roast.

Our Diversity, Inclusion & Unity Committee has chosen to donate proceeds of the Black is Beautiful beer to the Boston and Rutland, Vermont chapters of the NAACP.
