From Anheuser-Busch:
Anheuser-Busch is sending one truckload – more than 50,000 cans – of emergency drinking water to Dos Palos, California to support the city’s efforts following a declared water emergency that impacted the city’s water supply.
The emergency drinking water was produced at Anheuser-Busch’s Fort Collins, Colorado brewery which periodically pauses beer production throughout the year to can emergency drinking water to help communities in times of disaster.
The one-time donation of clean, safe drinking water will be delivered from the Fort Collins brewery to Anheuser-Busch’s wholesaler partner, Donaghy Sales in Modesto, CA who will work with the City of Dos Palos and the Dos Palos Lions Club to distribute it to those in need.
“We are incredibly thankful for our neighbors at Anheuser-Busch for using their resources to lend a hand when we need it most,” said Assemblyman Adam Gray. “This donation of emergency drinking water will help us ensure we are able to continue to provide these critical resources to the people of Dos Palos.”
Anheuser-Busch has a longstanding tradition of providing support for disaster relief efforts in partnership with the American Red Cross. Since the inception of the emergency drinking water program in 1988, Anheuser-Busch and its wholesaler partners have provided more 83 million cans of water to U.S. communities affected by natural disasters and other crises.
