Jester King Adding Entombment & A Pale Green Horse Collaboration

Jester King Adding Entombment & A Pale Green Horse Collaboration

This morning I have a new bottle and collaboration can coming from Jester King brewery in Austin, TX. Entombment will be a farmhouse ale brewed with 100-pounds of caramelized Texas wildflower honey (boiled for 6-hours) that is aged in Balcones Whiskey barrels (over 6-months). The beer will hit 10.8%-AbV and this is the 12.7oz bottle. I’ve also added in the Yazoo Brewing collaboration A Pale Green Horse. The beer is an IPA fermented with Kviek yeast (7.2%-AbV, 16oz cans). Stay tuned for more details on both beers.Jester King Adding Entombment & A Pale Green Horse Collaboration

A Pale Green Horse was released on 3 Jan 2020…this from Jester King:

INTRODUCING JESTER KING / YAZOO -- A PALE GREEN HORSE KVIEK IPA
.
Today we're releasing a new beer called A Pale Green Horse brewed in collaboration with our great friends at Yazoo Brewing Co. in Nashville, Tennessee!
.
A Pale Green Horse is a Kviek IPA brewed with well water, Pale Moon malt from Blacklands, raw wheat and oats from Barton Springs Mill, and Galaxy, Citra, and Mosaic hops. It was dry hopped with Strata, Galaxy, Citra, and Mosaic hops at a rate of 3 lbs. per barrel.
.
We brewed A Pale Green Horse with Brandon Jones of Yazoo when he visited us for Jester King SPON Day in early December. Brandon is a fan of the Hornindal Kveik yeast strain from Omega Yeast Labs, which we used for fermentation.
.
Our first batch of A Pale Green Horse is draft only and will be available by the glass at Jester King. It will be released when we open early at Noon today Thursday, January 2nd.
.
Below are some details / specs on A Pale Green Horse. We want to thank Brandon Jones for traveling from out of state of brew with us. As we've mentioned before, Brandon is a close friend and inspiration, and we're grateful to get to work with him.

This 14 May 2020 update from Jester King:

Jester King / Yazoo A Pale Green Horse -- an intensely dry hopped hazy IPA with Galaxy and Strata hops, 7.2%.

Brewed in collaboration with our dear friends from Yazoo Brewing Co. in Nashville, Tennessee, A Pale Green Horse is dry hopped initially during fermentation with Mosaic and Citra, then again with an abundance of Australian Galaxy and Strata hops. Huge notes of lime, kiwi, papaya, and orange dominate the nose of what is otherwise a soft, inviting, drinkable beer.

Available only at Jester King for curbside pickup in 16oz. four packs ($18) and 32oz. crowlers ($14). Order online (link below) or call 512-661-8736. 200 cases available. No limit. We can't legally ship beer, but proxies are welcome. Please click on "Are you using a proxy?" when ordering online for proxy pickup.
