(Virginia Beach, VA ) January 2020 - New Realm Brewing Company is excited to announce plans to expand distribution into Danville, VA with Danville Distributing Co. The launch will begin in January with a roll out of core brands Hazy Like a Fox Hazy IPA, Hoptropolis IPA, Hoplandia IPA, United Craft Lager and Virginia Craft Beer Cup winner, Euphonia Pilsner.
“We’ve been extremely fortunate to come to an agreement with what we consider to
be a top tier distribution operation. Danville Distributing Co. has expressed an interest in our
portfolio in their markets and are prepared to build our brands. Their team is well respected,
and we can’t wait to begin our partnership with them,” said Bob Powers, Co-founder and CCO
of New Realm.
New Realm Brewing has had a significant number of requests to expand into other parts of Virginia and is currently looking into building out the entire Virginia distribution footprint. The brewery recently celebrated their one-year anniversary in Virginia and looks forward to sharing their award-winning brews with craft beer fans throughout the state.

About New Realm Brewing:
New Realm Brewing Company is an American craft brewery started in 2016 by co-founders
Carey Falcone, Bob Powers and Mitch Steele. On a mission to rethink tradition and bend the
rules, the team planted their first production facility in a 20,000-square foot space on Atlanta’s
east side Beltline trail in December of 2017, featuring a 25hl brewhouse, 3,000-square foot
restaurant, rooftop patio and beer garden. A second location opened in Virginia Beach in the
middle of 2018 enabling New Realm to increase their ability to innovate and create new beers.
The Virginia Beach location is a 58,000-square foot space with a 50bbl brewhouse. Like Atlanta,
the second location features a large outdoor beer garden, private event space and restaurant.

New Realm’s recent awards include: Brewbound’s 2018 “Rising Star” brewery, Ratebeer’s 2018 “Best New Brewer in Georgia,” Ratebeer’s 2018 11th “Best New Brewer in the World”, and Virginia Craft Beer Cup’s gold medal and “Best in Show” for Euphonia Pilsner. Brewmaster Mitch Steele was awarded the Russell Scherer Award for Innovation in Brewing and co- authored the book IPA: Brewing Techniques, Recipes and the Evolution of India Pale Ale.
About Danville Distributing Company:
Danville Distributing Company came into existence in September of 1953. It was a subsidiary of
the Dr. Pepper Company of Danville. J. W. Davis served as its President. In December of 1968,
Mr. C. Burkhardt and Mr. W. R. Aikins acquired the company. Mr. Burkhardt served as President
and General Manager which guided Danville Distributing Company through its initial growth
period. Upon his death in June 1981, W.R. Aikins purchased Mr. Burkhardt’s interest in the
company and served as President and General Manager until retirement in 2002. Davis Aikins
now serves as President and General Manager. Danville Distributing Company began with only
eight employees and, as of today, that number has grown to 52. Today, some 66 years later, we
continue to distribute top quality products. It’s with these fine products and a strong
organization that it is expected our future will be as prosperous as our history.
