Dogfish Head & The Veil Collaborate On Knuckles, Bats And Homemade Tats

This morning we get our very first peek at a new collaboration beer coming from Dogfish Head in Milton, DE.  The beer will be named Knuckles, Bats And Homemade Tats and it will be a collaboration with The Veil Brewing in Richmond, VA.  The beer will be a barrel-aged sour ale brewed with locally grown Violeta barley, ancient grains Einkorn & Spelt as well as being refermented on hibiscus, and red, white and black currants.  The beer was open-fermented with mixed yeast cultures from both breweries and then aged in French oak Chardonnay wine barrels for 18-months.  The beer will hit 6.5%-AbV and it will be packaged in 12.7oz bottles.   Stay tuned here for full release details.
