Creature Comforts Releasing The Tree That Owns Itself & Welcome, My Friends In SeptFrom Creature Comforts:

Creature Comforts Brewing Company will release two new limited releases from its wood cellar and specialty program this September. The Tree That Owns Itself and Welcome, My Friends will be available in 750-mL bottles from the brewery's tasting room on September 14.

The Tree That Owns Itself

The Tree That Owns Itself is a bourbon barrel-aged barleywine at 12.5% ABV.
Creature Comforts set out to achieve fruity, rich, decadent complexity in this beer by using a traditional English barley base, all English ingredients, a long boil, and extended maturation in select, small-batch bourbon barrels for over 26 months.
"The Tree That Owns Itself" is an admired landmark in Athens, GA. The story behind the landmark is that the tree's owner, desiring to protect it, deeded ownership of the tree and surrounding land to itself. In honor of this local legend, Creature Comforts brewed this barleywine.

Welcome, My Friends

Welcome, My Friends (11.2% ABV) is an imperial stout made with almonds, coffee, vanilla, and lactose.
This decadent stout features rich layers from roasted almonds and Ugandan vanilla beans on top of the base nutty and chocolate notes from the coffee. Creature Comforts partnered with
1000 Faces Coffee to source select Brazilian Agua Limpa coffee for this beer.
