From Tröegs:
Perpetual Exploration
Here at Tröegs, our love affair with hops goes way back… back before we even opened our doors. It’s a story of exploration and discovery. It’s about how our brewers think about hops and how their approach to flavor and aroma has unfolded. It’s about technique, ingredients and variety. Earthy vs. citrusy. Spicy vs. floral. Dank vs. soft. And everything in between. You can dive into the story at blog.troegs.com. Or if you want the CliffsNotes version, just grab a Perpetual IPA, or maybe a Hop Knife Harvest IPA, and experience the story for yourself. And as always, follow us online at @troegsbeer for more Perpetual Exploration!

Golden Thing is back!
Our dry-hopped double IPA Golden Thing is back for a limited run! Hunting the fields during hop harvest, we were stopped in our tracks by the otherworldly lemon notes of the Lemondrop hop. We just had to build a beer around it. Our HopCyclone circulates Lemondrop’s citrusy oils throughout Golden Thing, and dry-hopping with Lemondrop and Centennial leads to juicy layers of fresh lemonade, pinesap and sweet citrus. Golden Thing is now available at the brewery and throughout most of Pennsylvania, and will be rolling out everywhere else you can find our beer over the next two weeks!
Scratch #387 drops on Thursday, August 29 just in time for Labor Day weekend. Pick up some cans, a growler/crowler fill, or enjoy in our Tasting Room exclusively at the brewery!
Scratch #387 coming Labor Day weekend
This hazy take on an IPA explores the intersection of Simcoe, Citra and the Australian hop Galaxy. But a subtle tweak to our technique – dry-hopping earlier in fermentation – takes the expected notes of creamsicle and citrus and transforms them into grapefruit, passionfruit and bubblegum. Oats in the malt bill add texture and body to prop up the hops, and a fruit-forward yeast adds hints of candied peach.
ABV: 5.2%
We taste: grapefruit rind, passionfruit, bubblegum
Availability: 16-ounce cans, draft & growler fills only at the brewery.
