Almanac Valley Of The Heart's Delight Returns

Howdy Almanac Fans & Friends!  Got big plans for Labor Day? Hopefully, a visit to the Almanac Barrel House in Alameda is in store, because one of our most beloved sours, Valley Of The Heart's Delight, is releasing in the taproom THIS FRIDAY!

This sour beer is inspired by the Santa Clara Valley’s agricultural roots, before it was known as Silicon Valley, it was called “The Valley of the Heart’s Delight.” It was a fertile basin filled with fruit orchards, especially apricots. Inspired by this lost agrarian past, we combined local apricots and peaches with our barrel-aged sour blonde ale to create this fruit-forward sour. Pair with grilled pork chops, prosciutto, and hearty salads.

APRICOT HOPCAKE SOUR IPA

6.7% ABV | Draft & 375ml bottles

Apricot Hopcake is the delicious collision of a tart, fruit-forward sour and a hop bomb IPA. We aged a juicy IPA base with California-grown apricots in oak barrels for months and finished the brew with a generous dry-hopping. The resulting ale is layered, complex, and resists standard categorization. Pair this fabulous fusion ale with cronuts, sushirritos, or spaghetti tacos.

JOHNNY CASHMERE HAZY PALE ALE

5.5% ABV | Draft Only | ALAMEDA TAPROOM EXCLUSIVE

Johnny Cashmere is an easy sipping hazy pale ale. We dry-hopped this light-bodied brew with a touch of citra and heaps of cashmere to create notes of sweet citrus and subtle melon. Pairs well with belting Ring of Fire at karaoke and road-tripping through the heartland.
