”We currently hold a trademark for 14er, for our 14er Java Stout, and we received notice that 14er Brewing was in the process of trademarking their mark. We felt this was a perfect opportunity to reach out to 14er & work with them directly to come up with a collaborative solution,” says CEO of Eddyline Brewing, Brian England.
The two companies entered into a concurrent use agreement for their respective marks and to celebrate decided to brew a collaboration beer together.
“We wanted to show the brewing world how a true collaboration could work, both companies will benefit from this effort,” says 14er Owner/Co-Founder Andrew Kaczmarek.14er and Eddyline developed a style that neither of them had produced before, a Smoothie IPA with Strawberry, Kiwi, and lactose.
“We
wanted to create something that was a bit edgier and that was trending in the market. The beer is absolutely crushable!” explains Kaczmarek. The collaboration will be available at both Eddyline and 14er Brewing’s respective taprooms and limited distribution in 16oz 6 packs within Eddyline’s Self Distribution area around Buena Vista.
