If you’ve ever put quarters down to reserve a turn on the Donkey Kong machine, made Gretzky bleed in your dorm room, or done the Carlton Dance in Fortnite, you need to cancel whatever plans you’ve made and check out The Science Museum of Minnesota’s Game Changers exhibit. It follows the evolution of gaming from the 1970s through the present day, with game designer interviews, concept art, and over 100 playable games.
Surly is pleased to be a part of Game Changers by collaborating with the Science Museum on Warp Zone Pilsner, a crisp, classic, and crushable beer you can purchase at the Science Museum starting the week of March 18 and throughout the Twin Cities (in package only).
We’re launching Warp Zone at Minneapolis’ Up-Down Arcade Bar on Monday, March 18, from 3:00 – 9:00 p.m. The event is free and open to the public (21+ or older). Patrons will be the first to sample Warp Zone and have access to exclusive t-shirts based on the can designs, all while learning more about the Game Changers exhibit. Surly will also be matching 100% of the proceeds generated from Up-Down’s Coins for a Cause program and donating 100% of proceeds from Warp Zone t-shirt sales to the Science Museum of Minnesota.
