Anheuser-Busch Sending Drinking Water for Hurricane Michael ReliefFrom Anheuser-Busch:

At the request of the American Red Cross, Anheuser-Busch is sending six truckloads – more than 300,000 cans – of emergency canned drinking water to communities in Florida and Georgia for Hurricane Michael relief.

Earlier this week, two truckloads of emergency drinking water were sent to Anheuser-Busch wholesaler partners Tri-Eagle Sales in Midway, Florida and The Lewis Bear Company in Ebro, Florida to support with disaster relief efforts.

Four additional truckloads will be delivered early next week to support communities in Georgia and Florida which were impacted by the storm. These shipments will be delivered to Johnson Distributing Co. (Valdosta, GA), Albany Beverage Co (Albany, GA) and The Lewis Bear Company (Ebro, FL) who will work with the American Red Cross to distribute the emergency drinking water to those in need.

The water will be transported from the brewer’s Cartersville, Georgia brewery which, along with the Fort Collins brewery in Colorado, periodically pauses beer production throughout the year to can drinking water to be ready to help communities in times of disaster.

For over 30 years, Anheuser-Busch has partnered with the American Red Cross to provide emergency drinking water for disaster relief efforts. Since 1988, Anheuser-Busch and its wholesaler partners have provided more than 79 million cans of water to U.S. communities affected by natural disasters nationwide.
